Around 9am this morning Friday, May 13, 2011, we were letting the dog out when we heard the neighbor's dog barking. We looked around the corner of 8th street up Garfield street and saw the neighbors and they're dog were safe on the third floor balcony. The bear was simply walking down Garfield St. It is suspected that the bear came from the nearby Boy Scout Trail just a bit further up the hill. Police and Animal Control authority's arrived quickly and without incident lured her into a cage.
