My teeth at their worst.

Help, I need confidence to get a job!!

Hello,
My name is Karissa Enoch, I am 17 years old and very soon will be 18. I am entering to have the opportunity to win the Jolly Smile's contest to receive dental work so that I can have the confidence I should have at 18 to get the career I am seeking.

Ever since my teeth started growing in they were never straight and I have always been ashamed of my smile. I have a personality that allows me to smile a lot, and I want to smile so that people will recognize this, but I don't in fear of what they will be thinking. I feel that I have to hide what I am feeling when I cover my smile.

I have recently started going on job interviews and I feel that my smile will be a deciding factor when people see me. I am working on going to college to get my RN and feel that my smile would greatly affect a job in that profession, with so much patient contact I think my smile would affect my patient care as I wouldn't be able to relay how I feel without smiling.

I feel if I were to win this contest it would boost my confidence a lot and I would be able to walk around and show the world my real smile and won't be one bit ashamed of it.

Having my teeth fixed has always been a dream of mine, it just has not been financially possible for my family. My teeth are not only a cosmetic concern but also cause me pain and to be free of that pain would be amazing. I got very excited when I heard about this contest and if I get to be one of the lucky candidates it will be the best thing that has ever happened to me!......so far!

Thank you,
Karissa
