Dad and I started this "project" over a year ago now. Silly boys that we are we were sure it would be done by now. Obviously it ain't. Some advice: beware of houses that belonged to horders that have been left empty for 2+ years. They'll such the money and time from you till they are dry. Well maybe not quite dry. But when most everything needs fixed and refinished, you start where you cook and eat; then go to where you live and friends visit; if you make it then to your bedroom(s); and your best friend probably will appreciate a yard and fence; oh and coverings for the windows to help stay warm. Maybe then you can do the bathroom if there is anything left in you or your wallet. Well, we still had some sweat left in us, but the wallet ran out. So the very old vanity has to share a head duct with the room across an opening that really is really just the door. I hope beyond home that the bemis seat stays on the top side of the floor. I suppose it is interesting to see how the shower and tub are plumbed each day to make sure it hasn't changed. And if I'm lucky, my wet feet from the shower won't weaken the raw wood on the unfinished floor anytime soon. And if I'm really lucky, I won't get a sliver in my foot getting out of the shower that gets infected, turn gangrenous (sp), and has to be amputated. But if I'm REALLY, REALLY lucky, Tile Meister will take pitty and help me do what just can't be done any other way right now. "Thanks Tile Meister".
