Our house was built in 1940 something & was built with only one bathroom. We have 4 kids & 2 adults here all the time & sometimes another kid. The floor is rotting next to the tub so if the floor goes the tub goes to the basement. The tub has stains & rust that I can not get off & mold all around the tub. The bathtub not only leaks bad from the faucet but from behind the tub, from the actual pipes, so we have to remember to dump the bucket about every 2 days. The floor use to have tile or something on it but has been removed by the previous owner & paint put on the floor which is now peeling off. The toilet is so close to the tub that when you sit on it your knees basically touch the side of it. Around the toilet just looks horrible & the floor is starting to rot also. I recently painted the ceiling because it had black mold growing on it so I bleached it to kill the mold & put a paint on it that's suppose to stop the mold from growing. Well it worked for about 4 months & now the black mold is coming through the paint again. There is not a vent in the bathroom, except a window, so ventilation is an issue also. We had to put a board over the hole in the wall that was the old laundry shute so our youngest didnt fall through it to the basement. So as you can see, our bathroom needs a lot of help.
