What happened to the toilet?

Our basement bathroom has been unfunctional for over a year now. This washroom has survived four children (one of them being a boy) and it is in major need of some repair. First a leak in the ceiling tore through the drywall, then the commode bit the dust. The shower tiles fell apart next and the floor grout has always been old and stained! It is my senior year and with all graduation celebrations comes a ton of family visiting from out of town. To be honest, the bathroom is a disgrace and I'd be shamed for any visitors to see it the way it is. Please, please help us!
