My husband and I bought our house two years ago and the downstairs bathroom still has the original decor in it, (from 1978). It's the ugliest olive green and the mirrors are broken! The shower was falling apart at the seems. So with full intent in redoing it, we took out the tiles that hadn't fallen out and went out to get it replaced. The shower size did not agree with the kits! It so happens that the smallest kit for showers are 32x32. Our shower is like 31 x32. the original tile job was done on sheet rock that wasn't even water proof. We have 6 kids in the house and they all have to come up stairs to shower and now they think they can't use it for any reason. When I ask them why cant you go downstairs,they imediatley reply, "GROSS MOM!" "That bathroom is ugly." My husband and I would love to have our upstairs bathroom back, which isn't great either but its nothing in comparison. My husband works in the oil field and is constantly out of town not leaving much time for us to do things the long way so there it sits with mops and broom in it! It is waiting for something to be done, and we certianing do not like the idea of attempting to redo tile on the walls are self! HELP!
