Bathroom Suffers: Boys Bad Aim

The 6 members of the Mulvey family thought replacing the old parquet floor in the bathroom of their 1905 downtown home would encourage guests to brave the only bath on the main floor of their home. Yet, four boys, aged 7 and under, combined with a bad grout job on the bathroom floor, equals a bathroom that no guest should have to suffer through.
Nevermind the dividing wall between the sink and toilet that only allows for guests of a certain size to use the cabode, or the grimy clawfoot tub that dares any guest to refresh before starting the day. The smell seeping up from the floor around the toilet is enough to keep any visitor's bladder full until they can step out to a cleaner gas station bathroom.
The giant full wall that divides the sink from the toilet, the gloomy beige mistint on the poorly textured walls, the shredded backsplash surrounding the old stained clawfoot tub, the dim lighting and the splotchy black tile all contribute to the dungeony feel that make the Mulvey family desperate to relplace their bathroom.
Living on a teacher and coaching salary has made the family unable to do the necessary repairs to make their bathroom the warm and welcoming bathroom they would love it to be. They are hoping that the contest will be their chance to provide a comfortable place for guests to relieve themselves.
