Weather School

If you would like someone to come and speak to your school about the weather, all you have to do is ask! News Channel "Weather School" program is designed to help educate your students about a variety of different weather topics. Included in the presentation is how meteorologists get the weather information that translates into the daily forecast, the science that is used to get that information, what is important as you watch the forecast, the water cycle, thunderstorms, tornados and much more. This presentation is a lot of fun and really gets the kids involved.

Meteorologists John Carroll and Joe Thompson will come to your school, free of charge, and speak for about 45 minutes. A bonus of the program is that your students will be shown on News Channel 5 weather, and a picture of the class will be placed on krextv.com. John Carroll's book, The Adventures of Robbie the Raindrop, a cute and educational story about the water cycle, will be donated to the school's library so that students can read and learn about how the earth recycles water, and touches on the need for everyone to recycle.
