GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Residents in the area of 28 1/4 and Orchard Avenue in Grand Junction lost water today after a pipe broke at around 1:30 p.m.
Rescue units arrived on scene as the flowing water began to fill the street and parking lot of the nearby apartment complex.
The cause of the water line break is currently under investigation. Officials say homes in the neighborhood lost water, but their electricity was not affected.
Residents moved their parked cars as the water began to fill up the area. Officials were able to stop the water from flowing, but are still working to fix the problem.
