SMC's Bats Continue to Erupt at JUCO World Series

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--No. 1 Spartanburg Methodist's offense continued to explode Monday at the JUCO World Series in a 17-0 victory in five innings over No. 3 Connors State. Eight players combined for 16 hits against five Cowboys pitchers, while Jimmy Lindberg allowed just three hits in the shutout performance. The Pioneers improve to 2-0 in tournament play and advance to face No. 14 Neosho in the winner's bracket Tuesday night. The Cowboys will face No. 4 Cochise in an elimination game Tuesday at 11 a.m.
