GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - A cash mob is going to be held Wednesday for North Avenue's oldest business, Johnson's House of Flowers. This is the second business chosen by the Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce for the event.
A cash mob targets a small business and asks people to make at least a $10 purchase.
The chamber will pick a local business each month for the event.
"We sometimes go to the same places or do the same thing, and we're not sure of other businesses in town or what else is available. I think it's a great way of letting other people know what businesses are out there and to support the chamber and the local gang of us,” said Lori Ellis, manager for Johnson’s House of Flowers.
The florist shop will also be providing a raffle and special $10 flower bouquet for the event.
