GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -- If the Grand Junction Rockies could play teams from the Pioneer League North Division, it wouldn't even be a race for first place, considering the Rockies went 19-9 against teams from the opposite division this season. The GJ Rockies completed a successful stint of inter-division play, defeating the Great Falls Voyagers 5-3 Monday night at Suplizio Field.
Wes Rogers sparked the Rockies offense with a 2-RBI double in the fourth.
Forrest Wall, Kevin Padlo, and Nate Causey had an RBI each as well, with Causey's coming on a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth.
The GJ Rockies hold a three-game lead over the Idaho Falls Chukars in the South Division, after the Chukars lost 5-1 to the Missoula Osprey in Montana Monday night.
The Rox hit the road for their next six games, with the first four at Idaho Falls, in a series that could have major implications on who makes the postseason.
