GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- A structure fire at Shadowood Court in Grand Junction causes extensive damage to a home, leaving the residents to salvage what they can on Sunday.

The Grand Junction Fire Department responded to a report of a house and fence fire that occurred shortly after 9 p.m. on Saturday.

One person was home at the time of the fire and was transported to the hospital for possible smoke inhalation.

The fire started on the exterior of the home but spread into the attic before it was contained.

The damage is estimated at $75,000 dollars but the residents said they take the house as a complete lost due to the damages throughout the entire home.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
