GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – The Grand Junction Rockies announce that local television stations, KGJT-TV (My Network) Channel 27 and cable Channel 16, will televise “live” a total of 12 home games during the upcoming 2014 season.
All telecasts will be produced and directed by the Mass Communication students of Colorado Mesa University. “This new beginning with local television demonstrates clearly to the quality of work these students are responsible for and offers another great amenity for Rockies fans throughout western Colorado,” said Tim Ray, Grand Junction Rockies General Manager.
Greg Mikolai, Instructor and Video Producer at CMU said, “This seasons’ opportunity to present video coverage of GJR baseball to the KGJT-TV audience is especially exciting for CMU students for the relevant exposure it provides to advance their careers in television production.”
KGJT-TV will televise twelve of the Rockies home games this season. Telecast dates include four games during the initial six game home stand (June 20, 21, 24, and 25). Four games will be televised in July (July 4, 5, 25, and 26) as well as four in August (August 12, 13, 15, and 16th).
