PALISADE, Colo.- Housing Resources of Western Colorado has been giving back to communities this past week in celebration of National Neighborworks Week.

They concluded with their last project this weekend, a community garden at Wine Valley Estates in Palisade.

Volunteers and community residents came together to discuss what they want to see for the garden.

"I think that gardens and things like this, yard clean up and helping neighbors with small projects; anything that you can do like that continues to build friendship, partnership and basically creates neighbors helping neighbors,” Said Maris-Felix-Campbell, Marketing Coordinator, Housing  Resources of Western Colorado.

The non-profit organization will be working on the garden this week with more than 25 volunteers.

They are still seeking more volunteers as well as garden supplies for the project.
