GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Saturday, the Metabolic Research Center of Grand Junction hosted a walk against breast cancer.
The goal was to raise funds for a client at the center who recently discovered she has breast cancer at Stage 4 and is in need of immediate surgery within two weeks.
"I've had people come from Cortez where I use to live and just friends and family, even people I don't know! They came and donated money and i just don't know what to say,” said Sharon Hollar.
Adults, kids and dogs all joined in for the one mile walk that helped to raise funds for Sharon Hollar’s medical bills.
The Grand Junction fire department showed their support by bringing their pink cancer awareness truck to the event.
People signed the truck with names of friends and family who have battled cancer.
