GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - March is National Colon Cancer Awareness month and while the colorectal cancer death rate is decreasing the American Cancer Society is urging for increased screening.
Colon cancer is the 3rd leading cause of cancer death in both men and women which is why it is recommended to begin screening at the age of 50.
The American Cancer Society recommends a colonoscopy every 10 years or a CT colonography every five.
