GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.-Sophomore point guard Joe Kiely used his speed to go coast-to-coast hitting a buzzer beater on the run to lift  Colorado Mesa (8-6, 6-4 RMAC) over UC-Colorado Springs (9-4, 6-3 RMAC), 83-82, in dramatic fashion Friday night at Brownson Arena.

The victory snapped CMU's four-game losing streak and gave them their first win of 2013.

Sophomore Center, Ryan Stephan had a career-high 26 pts to lead the Mavericks in the scoring column, while also pulling down a team-high eight rebounds.

Kiely finished with 14pts, 7 assts. and 3 rebounds and was one of five CMU players in double figures (Vermeer-11, Orr-12, Melillo-10).

CMU will travel to Western State Colorado next Saturday.
