GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Iowa Western def. Midland College, 11-1, for the second time in the 2014 JUCO World Series Thursday night to advance to the championship game on Friday.

Iowa Western had 13 runs on 11 hits and improved to 4-0 in the tournament.

Miami-Dade def. Spartanburg Methodist 13-2 to advance to the championship game from the elimination pool.

These two teams will meet Friday night at 7 p.m. for the tournament title.

Iowa Western def. Miami-Dade, 10-0, on Wednesday night to send the sharks to the elimination pool. The Sharks must now beat the Reivers twice to claim the national title, with that "if necessary" game scheduled for Saturday at 7 p.m.

Iowa Western def. San Jacinto (TX) in 2010 and 2012 to win the national title.
