Jonathan Gray Successful In Second Pro Outing

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.-Rockies first-round pick in 2013 (No. 3 overall) Jonathan Gray pitched in his second pro outing Monday night at Suplizio Field, giving up one run on one hit in 2.2 innings of work. Gray was limited to only 46 pitches in an eventual 4-1 win by the Grand Junction Rockies (15-10) over the Great Falls Voyagers (13-12) Ramiel Tapia extended his hitting streak to 16 games for the Grand Junction Rockies in a game that was shortened to six innings because of weather. *RHP Jordan Mejia was also released on Monday. Mejia, originally out of Long Beach State made nine relief appearances for the GJ Rockies this season, but failed to record a decision.
