GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Colorado State Senator Greg Brophy stopped in Grand Junction Friday as part of his campaign run for governor.
Brophy spoke to The Mesa County Republican Party at the Bookcliff Country Club during a luncheon.
He said he believes he can rally Colorado Republicans to defeat current Governor Hickenlooper.
“I think I bring a combination of people. I bring the gun guys because I'm a second amendment advocate. I bring the people from rural Colorado who want a voice for them, and I think I can gather up all the people who are just tired of losing because Republicans haven’t won statewide on these contested issues in years,” said Sen. Brophy.
Sen. Brophy said he plans to make more stops in Mesa County as the election season heats up.
