GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--The first-place Grand Junction Rockies were shutout for the first time all season in a 5-0 loss to Great Falls Saturday night at Suplizio Field.
The Rockies entered the contest with a league-best .300 batting average, but managed just six hits against three Voyagers pitchers.
Left handed starter Todd Kibby, who had a no-hitter through three, gave up three hits in six shutout innings.
The lone bright spot was Ryan Garvey, who went 3-for-4, but said the team wasn't able to make adjustments at the plate.
The Rockies will continue their series against the White Sox affiliate with game two Sunday at 4:05 p.m.
