GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Redlands Mesa Golf Club is offering a free program for kids and parents for the upcoming golf season.

This program is available to any child under fourteen years old that can play with an adult.

Officials at Mesa Golf Course say they are offering this free program since they feel its an important sport for kids to learn about sportsmanship.

“Golf is a game where you call rules on yourself, you call penalties on yourself. Integrity is the biggest thing I think they can learn from playing golf. Just to have fun, look at the view behind us and how beautiful it is and it’s the sportsmanship with their friends and peers. There’s so much this game can teach,” said C.J. Rhyne, Manager at Redlands Mesa Golf Course.

This free program has already begun, but is still currently offering others to join.

For more information or to book a tee time for the kids free golf program, you can go online at or call 970-263-9270
