GJ Rockies Snap Three Game Losing Streak, End Orem's Eight Game Win Streak

OREM, UT -- The Grand Junction Rockies found the win column again for the first time in four games, snapping a three game losing streak by beating the Orem Owlz 6-2 Wednesday night.

Terry McClure got things started off for the Rockies with a leadoff solo home run in the 1st inning. Wesley Jones added to the Rockies lead in the 2nd with an RBI single, to the the Rox up 2-0.

Orem wouldn't find the scoresheet until the 7th inning, when a 2-RBI single from Michael Strentz tied the ball game at 2 apiece.

The GJ Rockies saved the best for last, however, exploding for four runs in the 9th inning, highlighted by a 2-RBI triple from Kevin Padlo.

The Rockies conclude their current 8-game road trip Thursday at Orem, before returning to Suplizio Field for four more games against the Owlz.
