GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Mesa County housing organizations are coming together to help the community achieve home ownership.
The free open house is a collaborative effort with the Housing Resources of Western Colorado, Habitat for Humanity, Grand Junction Housing Authority, and CLT Title Services.
This is the organizations way of celebrating June as National Home Ownership Month.
Attendees will learn about different homeowner programs and resources available for those interested in buying a home.
“I think it would be a great event for people to go to because it is free, there is no pressure or hype. We're not necessarily asking for references or credit checks. It's just an information event for them to come, have fun ask questions about all these estates in town that maybe would not be able to do at one place,” said Maris Felix-Campbell, marketing coordinator for the Housing Resources of Western Colorado.
The goal of this event is to educate people about the pitfalls and tricks of building, buying, and maintaining their homes.
