Edmiston, Brady Earn All-Region Honor

WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Colorado Mesa seniors Jake Edmiston and Michael Brady each earned All-Daktronics Football Super Region Four First Team honors Thursday (Dec. 5). The pair will both be placed on the ballot for Daktronics All-America honors.

Edmiston set an NCAA Div. II single season record with 177 total tackles. The Palisade, Colo., native led Div. II in tackles per game (16.1) and solo tackles per game (9.3). He also added five quarterback sacks and two interceptions. A mathematics and statistics major with a 3.82 grade point average, Edmiston earned CoSIDA Academic All-America and RMAC Academic Player of the Year honors.

Brady finished the season ranked tied for ninth in the nation and first in the RMAC in interceptions with 0.55 per game. The Highlands Ranch, Colo., native also ranked fourth in the league in pass break-ups with 1.18 per game.

Colorado Mesa finished the season 5-6 overall and 4-5 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
