Dog Dies in Hot Car in Clifton

CLIFTON, Colo.- One dog is dead and another one is rushed to the veterinary hospital after a restaurant employee noticed dogs left inside a vehicle.

The incident happened at the Flying Roosters parking lot in Clifton shortly after 3:00 p.m. An incoming server noticed the dogs in the vehicle and called law enforcement.

Once animal services arrived, they found one dog dead and the other severely needing medical attention.

According to restaurant staff, the owners of the vehicle were inside the restaurant for more than an hour. Both owners have been cited.
