GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--Starting quarterback Aric Kaiser and offensive lineman Nick Leonard will be suspended for the first half of Colorado Mesa's game against No. 3 CSU-Pueblo Saturday.

"We have a couple things from a disciplinary problem, so they will be suspended from the first half," head coach Russ Martin said.

The Mavericks will look to bounce back from last week's loss to Colorado School of Mines, in which they were held to a season-low ten points.

"We've got to put last week behind us," Martin said. "Win or lose last week, it's a standpoint that we've got CSU-Pueblo this week, and they're an outstanding football team.

"They have tremendous balance in everything that they do. They're an extremely well-coached team, and we just have to get ready to play as well as we can."

Colorado Mesa is 0-2 against ranked opponents this season.
