GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Fifteen new Chihuahuas have arrived this week at the Roice-Hurst Humane Society in Grand Junction.
These pups had quite the journey to get here as they came on a road trip all the way from California.
Originally, fifty pups left Santa Barbra where they were rescued from shelters that had an over abundance of small-breed dogs.
Now, the pups have arrived in Montana and Colorado where little dogs are in high demand.
"if anyone is interested in meeting these little guys that would be great, you can come down to the shelter and spend time with them, and that's really the best way to get to know them so you can know their personalities. Hopefully they will all be adopted in a very quick time,” said Ashley Digrado, Adoption Counselor.
The workers at the shelter said the Chihuahuas are enjoying their new home here in Colorado.
The Chihuahuas are available for adoption tomorrow from the shelter and people are welcome to come by to meet and play with the pups.
These Chihuahuas also come with names that match their personality, such as Dirty Harry.
