PALISADE, Colo.- The first Brews and Cruise Festival was held on Saturday at the Veterans Memorial Park in Palisade.
About 500 people attended for beer, live bands, sizzling foods and plenty of merchandise to shop around.
“This is the first spring festival kick off. It’s a beautiful day. I think there’s going to be some fun beer drinking to be had here today,” said Eric Wilson, Kannah Creek Brewery.
28 breweries came out to sample some craft beers.
“We’re so excited to be here today. This is our home town, we’re here to represent, drink some beer and have a good time,” said Danny Wilson, Palisade Brewery Company.
Organizers say this event is a great way to introduce people into the art of craft beer.
“The craft brew market is really taking over almost 10% of the Beer Market in the United States. These things are really becoming popular,” said Eric Wilson.
“The consumers start to understand that by drinking this, they’re experiencing craft beer. Once they start getting into it a little, and they’re buddies are doing it, it’s a really great event,” said Taylor Wift, Stone.
This festival was not only to showcase great beer, but to bring out the cycling community to take advantage of the beautiful spring weather.
