BLACK FOREST, Colo.- More information is released regarding Colorado's most destructive wildfire in the latest Black Forest Fire District Board meeting.
According to KCNC, a new report was released at Wednesday's board meeting highlighting the local fire chief a hero for his actions.
The report was based on an internal investigation of the fire district.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office disagreed with the report's findings, saying it contained opinions rather than facts.
Fire Chief Bob Harvey was initially accused of turning away resources, but the report said he did not, and due to fires elsewhere air support was in short supply.
It is still unclear how the fire started.
