GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - A U.S. Army Sergeant is facing criminal charges after being accused of sexually assaulting a 16 year old who attended Central High School while he was a recruiter.
Sergeant Randy Loushin was issued a summons on Tuesday on suspicion of a misdemeanor sexual assault, in connection with allegations that he had sex with the student.
"The Army is conducting it's own investigation and Loushin has been removed from the Grand Junction Army Career Center and placed in an administrative position while the investigation is ongoing," said Debbie Cannon from the Denver Army Recruiting Batallion.
