GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - On Thursday night conservative members of the community gathered for a discussion on the Affordable Care Act and its impact on Western Colorado.
Hosted by Freedom! Colorado, attendees first listened to a local nurse and the a doctor. Several members in the audience asked questions and voiced their concerns with the new healthcare law.
Larry Tice, a doctor in the Grand Valley, said, "I think probably to some extent there's been a lot of concern and fear with the patients. I think people are more concerned about cost, and they're aware of that now more. I think a lot of doctors are leaving practice, whether it's from Obamacare or not I can't tell you, but my volume has picked up a little bit possibly because it's harder to get in to other doctors."
Several residents also shared their experiences signing up on the website.
