GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - In conjunction with National Heath Care Decisions Day the Mesa County Advance Care Planning Task Force provided a symposium to better prepare community members for end of life decisions.
"It's not only for older people, but it's also for younger people. A lot of times it's very important for 30, 40 year old kids who get in an accident, have they spoken to their parents or their loved ones or their spouses. Do they really know what they want, do they want to be hooked up to a machine," said Advanced Care Planning Task Force's Mary Watson.
The symposium offered participants a chance to role play the conversation and supplied them with materials to make the discussion easier.
