GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The 2014 Mesa County Safety Fair started Thursday educating local kids on how to stay smart and safe.
Organizers say they have 27 safety exhibits including a sections about water safety, electrical safety and fire safety.
They also say this is the most participation from agencies they've seen in their 33 years with this fair.
Parents believe this type of interaction helps promote safety skills to their children in a fun way.
"I think that every little site that we went to has helped gain my children with some knowledge on how to get out if there's a fire in the house or not pollute the water,” said parent Jessica Urban.
Fair coordinators say this is a great way to have all the public safety agencies under one roof.
The last day to attend the safety fair is tomorrow from 9:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Mesa Mall.
