Six Mavericks Named to RMAC All-Conference Teams

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--Colorado Mesa University football team placed six players on the Rocky Mountain Athletic All-Conference Teams announced earlier today by the league office.

Trent deBraga, Jake Cimolino, Matt Mankoff, Jake Edmiston and Michael Brady have been recognized for their outstanding performance this season.

Trent deBraga (KR, S) was named RMAC First Team kick returner and RMAC Third Team safety. deBraga finished with a league-leading 642 kick return yards for an average of 25.7 yards per return. As the Mavericks starting safety, deBraga was 10th in the league in total tackles (101). Trent finished the year with 42 solo tackles, 59 assisted for an average of 9.2 tackles per game. deBraga is a RMAC All-Academic First Team honoree.

Jake Cimolino (RB) and Matt Mankoff (OL) are RMAC All-Conference Second Team honorees. Cimolino led the conference in yards per game (124.1) recording 1365 yards on 242 rushing attempts. He ranked second overall in All-Purpose yards (144.2 yards per game), fifth overall in the league in scoring touchdowns (9), eighth in total offense and 10th in scoring (60 points). Cimolino ranks 15th overall in Division II rushing. Cimolino is a RMAC First Team All-Academic selection.

Matt Mankoff wrapped up his stellar career at CMU as a four-year starter and the anchor of the Mavericks offensive line. Mankoff and the offensive line paved the way for CMU's third ranked rushing team in the league averaging 182 yards rushing per game. Mankoff is a RMAC First Team All-Academic recipient.

Jake Edmiston (ILB) and Michael Brady (P) earned RMAC All-Conference Third Team recognition. Edmiston leads the RMAC in total tackles at 122, including a league high 92 assisted tackles. He had a team high nine tackles for loss yards and five quarterback hurries. Edmiston ranks ninth in Division II in total tackles. Jake is a RMAC First Team All-Academic award winner.

Michael Brady earned RMAC All-Conference accolades as the Mavericks punter. Brady registered 71 punts for 2863 yards and an average of 40.3 yards per punt. Brady recorded 11 punts Inside the 20-yard line and a long punt of 61 yards. Brady is an RMAC All-Academic First Team selection.
