Nolan Snell, Jessica Severinsen named RMAC Pitchers of the Week
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--Colorado Mesa right-handed pitcher Nolan Snell was named the RMAC Pitcher of the Week Tuesday.
Snell went seven innings, allowing just one hit and zero earned runs while striking out ten last Friday, leading the Mavs to an 11-6 victory over New Mexico Highlands.
The New Mexico native is tied for second in the conference with four wins on the year. He's also in that No. 2 spot with 43 strikeouts.
Mesa's ace was coming off an injury to his throwing shoulder heading into this season, causing him to miss the fall, but said he feels like he's back to 100 percent.
Meanwhile CMU's Jessica Severinsen was also tabbed as the RMAC Pitcher of the Week.
The junior pitched a complete game shutout at Metro State last Friday to improve to 9-2 on the year.
She threw a total of seven innings during the weekend road trip, giving up zero earned runs, two hits and finishing with seven strikeouts.
