No. 17 CMU to Face No. 3 St. Cloud State at Grand Canyon Duals

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--The No. 17 Colorado Mesa wrestling team will open 2013 at the Grand Canyon Duals Saturday, Jan. 5.

One of the Mavs' opponents in Phoenix is No. 3 St. Cloud State, which makes for a great opportunity to continue making a name for themselves in their seventh year since being reinstated.

"Here's where I think it's our chance to make a statement," senior Nick Peterson said. "If there's any time to make it, it's now."

The All-American, who is ranked 7th at 184 pounds, will face St. Cloud State's Shamus O'grady, a three-time All-American and the No. 3 wrestler in the weight class.

Colorado Mesa will start the morning off against Minot State University at 9 a.m.
