Mavs Get Their First Home Win of the Season

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--Colorado Mesa got its first home win under head coach Russ Martin with a 36-12 victory over Fort Lewis College Saturday night at Stocker Stadium.

The Mavs improve to 3-4 on the season and 3-2 in RMAC play.

Sophomore running back Jake Cimolino got CMU on the board with a 21-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. He rushed for 216 yards and two touchdowns to lead the way.

Senior defensive back Trevor deBraga returned a punt 82-yards for the score taking a pitch from his brother, Trent deBraga.

Junior quarterback Jason Haferman completed 14-of-29 passes for 175 yards and one touchdown.

Next up, the Mavs will travel to Golden, CO to face Colorado School of Mines.
