Mavericks down Mid-America Christian 88-64

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--Katrina Selsor and Sharaya Selsor each scored 25 points Saturday to lead Colorado Mesa (4-0) to a 88-64 win over Mid-America Christian in the Clarion Inn Thanksgiving Classic.

Katrina scored 17-first half points and posted a double-double pulling down 11 rebounds. Sharaya was 9 of 14 from the field including 5 of 6 from beyond the arc.

Bruna Deichmann finished with 15 points and seven rebounds off the bench. Taylor Rock had eight points and Kelsey Sigl chipped in seven points and five rebounds.

CMU held a 48-34 halftime lead and held a double-digit advantage for the final 10 minutes of the first half.

Early in the second half MACU cut the deficit to nine points (50-41) with 16:40 remaining in regulation before the Mavericks went on a 21-3 run to extend the lead to 27 points (71-44) with 11:25 left in the game. CMU maintained the double-digit lead the remainder of the contest as the Mavericks remain undefeated on the season.

CMU shot 54.8 percent (34-62) from the field and hit 10 of 19 treys. MACU shot 26.5 percent (13-49) from the floor and 32 of 39 from the foul line.

The Mavericks will open Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference action next week at Chadron State and Black Hills State University.
