Mavericks Place Three On the All-RMAC First Team, Sigl Wins Player of the Year

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference office released its All-RMAC teams Wednesday afternoon, with three Mavericks named to the First Team.

Kelsey Sigl was named the the RMAC Player of the Year, averaging 18.5 points per game and pulling down 6.8 rebounds a night. The senior had three double-double's and tied a career-high with 31 points against Western New Mexico earlier this season.

Katrina Selsor was a unanimous selction to the First Team and is now a four-time All-RMAC selection. This season, she is averaging 14.6 points per game and grabbing 8.4 rebounds a night. The senior was named the RMAC Athlete of the Month for December and is nearing the 1,000 point mark of her Maverick career (949).

The Selsor's made it a family affair this year on the First Team as Sharaya Selsor earned that distinction this season. Sharaya is making her second appearance on the All-RMAC team. She is averaging 12.6 points per contest and has dished out 91 assists this season.

Joining the trio is senior Bruna Deichmann. Deichmann has played the role of sixth man for the Mavericks this season and was awarded with a spot on the Third Team. She is averaging 9.5 points and 4.9 rebounds off the bench this season.

Head Coach Taylor Wagner was awarded the Coach of the Year in his first season at the helm for Colorado Mesa. Wagner has the Mavericks 26-1 on the season, earning the team an RMAC Championship. He has the Mavericks in the top ten in the nation in several defensive statistical categories and poised to earn a possible #1 seed in the NCAA South Central Region Tournament.
