Kelsey Sigl Named RMAC Player of the Week

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--Senior Kelsey Sigl was named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week for her outstanding performance at the Dixie State Tip-Off Classic in St. George, Utah.

Sigl averaged 17.0 points and 7.5 rebounds in the Mavs two wins to open the season in St. George, Utah against Simon Fraser and MSU, Billings. She averaged 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals. Sigl shot 68.2 percent for the field and hit 3-of-3 from the foul line. She scored 17 points and pulled down six rebounds in the win over Simon Fraser.

On Saturday, Sigl followed up with 17 points in a win over Montana State Billings while finish­ing with nine rebounds and three assists. She was 7-of-10 from the floor. After two games Sigl leads the team averaging 17 points and a .682 shooting percentage from the field. She is second on the team with 15 rebounds and four steals.

CMU will make its home debut beginning Friday in the Clarion Inn Thanksgiving Classic. The Mavericks will host Hillsdale College at 5 p.m. on Friday. On Saturday CMU will play Mid-America Christian at 5 p.m.
