Injury Update: Colorado Mesa Mavericks

GRAND JUNCTIONEntering into Saturday's contest against No. 1 CSU-Pueblo, the Colorado Mesa Mavericks find themselves riddled with injuries and without their starting quarterback, Jason Haferman, for Saturday's contest against the Thunderwolves.

Haferman is out at least 1-2 weeks after injuring his left knee in what the team is calling a "mild MCL sprain."

Deke Cisco will start at quarterback in Saturday's contest.

CMU practiced just five receivers Tuesday afternoon and still find themselves without Nathan Neville, who is still recovering from a torn right labrum.

Offensive lineman, and All-Academic RMAC 1st-team member Matt Mankoff did not practice Tand was in a boot after a left ankle sprain in Saturday's game against the Colorado School of Mines.

Runningback Dan Geubelle has a broken bone on his left hand and was wrapped in cast, but participated in team activities.

The Mavericks will be back on the practice field Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
