Colorado Mesa Holds First "Two-A-Day" Under Russ Martin

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-The Colorado Mesa Football program held their first two-a-day on Tuesday, in preparation for August 30th's season opener at Humboldt St.

"The focus is on ourselves," said Head Coach, Russ Martin. "Honestly, we haven't even talked about Humboldt yet-- we need to get ourselves to the highest level that we can and hopefully the rest will take care of itself.

Pre-Season All-Conference selection, Dom Lewis remains sidelined with a torn hamstring but says he hopes to be back for the opener.

Wednesday the team will decide who to redshirt as the begin to finalize their opening day roster.

The Mavericks return to the practice field Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m.
