CMU's Jeff Popick to Work Out with Rockies

by Claire Brandon

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--Jeff Popick tells NewsChannel 5's Josh Moser that he has been invited to a pre-draft workout with the Colorado Rockies.

The former Colorado Mesa left fielder left for Denver Friday night for his Tuesday afternoon workout at Coors Field.

The Colorado native said he's been contacted by three other MLB teams, but that it would be a dream come true to play for the Rockies.

The RMAC Co-Player of the Year finished with the ninth-highest batting average in the nation (.422).
