CMU Guards Effo Baker and Christen Lopez Talk Elite 8 Berth In Studio

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-Colorado Mesa guards Christen Lopez and Effo Baker joined NewsChannel5 Sports Director, Josh Moser, live in-studio to discuss the Mavericks first-ever berth into the NCAA Division II Elite 8.

No.4 Colorado Mesa (31-1) ran through the South Central Regional Tournament defeating Midwestern St. (26-6) in the Sweet 16.

Kelsey Sigl was named the Regional Tournament MVP with Katrina Selsor named to the All-Tournament team.

Colorado Mesa will now face Dowling College (NY) for the right to advance to the Final Four on March 26th.
