CMU Golfer Brandon Bingaman Named to Ping All-Region Team

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.-Brandon Bingaman was named to the 2012 Division II PING All-Region Central Team announced Thursday, by the Golf Coaches Association of America. Bingaman is one of 12 Central Region honorees and joins 107 total players from eight regions to be selected.

Bingaman was named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Academic Player of the Year and named to the Capital One Academic All-District First Team. Bingaman was a unanimous RMAC All-Academic First Team selection.

Bingaman and the Mavericks closed out the season with their second consecutive trip to the NCAA Division II post season regional tournament.

Bingaman had five Top 5 finishes this season and finished seventh at the RMAC Men's Spring Championship. His top finish this spring was third place at the RMAC Wolf Pack Invitational in Pueblo where he shot a season low final round of 66. He placed fourth at the Mustang Invitational hosted by Western New Mexico and a second place overall in the region.
