CMU Baseball Talks Weekend Series Against Colorado-Mines

by Josh Moser

GRAND JUNCTION, colo.-No. 16 Colorado Mesa carries an eight game winning streak into this weekend's RMAC regular season finale against the Colorado School of Mines.

CMU swept both Metro State and CSU-Pueblo to go a perfect 8-0 at Suplizio Field this year.

The Mavericks are currently ranked second in the Central Region Standings, only behind the University of Minnesota-Mankato. If the Mavericks sweep this weekend's series they will most likely take over the first place ranking based on road wins. If this is the case, CMU will host the Regional Tournament at Suplizio Field beginning May 17.

Nolan Snell will start game one for CMU this weekend, with his only loss on the year coming at the hands of the Orediggers.
