CMU Baseball Adds Division I Transfer

by Claire Brandon

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.-- Assistant sports information director David Jahnke confirmed Sunday that right-handed pitcher Aaron Corwin has transferred from Texas Tech to Colorado Mesa.

Jahnke tells NewsChannel 5's Josh Moser that he is projected to be the Mavs' No. 1 starter.

Last season Corwin posted a 1-0 record with 3.28 ERA in 19 relief appearances, but his stats against Big 12 opponents are the most impressive.

He finished with a 1.12 ERA, which is the lowest in conference play for a Red Raider since 1996.

Prior to Texas Tech, the Oregon native played the 2010 season at Feather River College where he was a first-team all-conference selection.
