Tigers Boys Basketball Set for Rematch in Season Opener

by Claire Brandon

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.--Grand Junction will open the season in a rematch of last year's overtime thriller against Fountain Fort Carson.

It's the second straight year that the Tigers will face the Trojans, who've won the past four contests between the two, in their season opener.

Grand Junction lost several key seniors from last season, including leading scorer Casey Burns. And although they're young, head coach Dutch Johnson said there's a lot of energy and excitement coming from this years team.

Leading the way is returning three-year starter, Broderick Robinson, who was second on the team in scoring last year as a sophomore.
